Elangeni Chicks employ the most experienced technical team available to successfully manage parent breeder birds to produce quality hatching eggs. Passion for efficient production is the cornerstone of our business and we enthusiastically pursue best practices in all aspects of our business. We have a well-trained and experienced team working in both the breeder rearing sites and breeder laying sites.
By giving the chicks the best start at rearing, we ensure that the birds produce the best quality hatching eggs when they come into lay. Our robust bird health and nutritional programme ensures that egg quality is at its best, which has a positive contribution to the chick quality at the hatchery and overall broiler bird performance on customer farms.
Our dedicated technical managers have years of practical experience and seek to consistently improve the performance of our customers through partnership and post-hatchery management.
We invest heavily in the breeding stock to ensure that we produce an excellent quality chick that has the potential to perform to the breed standards and that has the correct level of maternal antibodies against the important diseases.
Through our partnership with Elangeni Poultry (SPP), we have access to a lab where we are able to take hygiene swabs and blood tests if necessary. This benefits our customers and allows for consistent and optimal performance to be achieved.
